For 1 month or so mpmap02 is temporarily disabled, and we are pleased to use another mpmap such as mpmap01. OK. The default server is mpserver12.flightgear.org. OK. I sometimes set (I don't know why) my own MP settings with mpserver12.flightgear.org. OK. While Googling today to find infos about an aircraft I'm working on, I discovered that mpserver12.flightgear.org by EViLSLuT was tracking our flights. Tracking is fun but I would have preferred to *OPT-IN* for that kind of "service" !

Not sure why he should be kidding. He's providing an MP server (for free), so its really up to him what he does with it. Users have a choice as to which MP server they connect to. Note that he's only tracking traffic connected to his own server.

You should assume that anything you do on FG MP is tracked and made public. The protocol is completely open, and any FG user could easily snoop the network traffic and track you. However, users are only identified by their call-sign, and there's no way at present to stop two (or more) people using the same call-sign, so there's no real connection between call-sign and actual people.

What are you particularly concerned about?

EViL - might be worth putting a notification on the MP server list on the wiki saying that you're tracking flights.

Of course the "no offense" was for 07-BUT. All (or almost all) the servers are tracked. So his concern about being tracked is quite strange. Anyway, as evilslut said in his response, his only option is to send a mail to the server owner with the request of deleting all his flights from the db.
