Multiple MP Sessions in One Computer: Feasible?

Postby kyokoyama » Sun Feb 06, 2011 9:05 pm

Especially in certain events like MP Carrier fly-ins or event organizations, I feel the need to have multiple instances of FlightGear connected through multiplayer at one time on a single computer...
Is this feasible? If so, how so?

It'd be great if someone could answer this. Thanks!
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

That's certainly possible. Just make sure that each FG instance use a separate local port for receiving MP data.
E.g.
Code: Select all
--multiplay=out,10,mpserver01.flightgear.org,5000
--multiplay=in,10,,5010

and
Code: Select all
--multiplay=out,10,mpserver01.flightgear.org,5000
--multiplay=in,10,,5011
