Segfault loading vinson, sometimes, for no reason

Segfault loading vinson, sometimes, for no reason

My stats:

Core 2 quad, 8gb ddr2, nvidia 260 896mb ddr3, kubuntu 10.04, FG 2.0.0.dotdotdot.

I had vinson loaded for my westpad. Decided to close out, reboot, and reload to run some updates. Also, the weather was updating for Alaska. So I was sitting in hawaii and watching snow come down with heavy winds.

I get this output on CLI...

Now, I've been getting those errors in the past but it didn't cause segfaults... I doln't get it for anything else, just the carrier. One strange thing is it'll load near SFO first, then it'll warp to the coordinates I set.

I wasn't clear from the 2.0.0dotdots - have you changed you FG version at all, or did the crashes just start occurring one day? If so that's quite suspicious; I'd look for configuration or external factors; changed scenery, real-world METAR, or so on.

Version 2.0.0.1.

It doesn't load METAR automatically. I haven't changed it other than loading some models that weren't there. And some of the scenery xml files were missing. But other than that, it had been running just fine. Problems arose about the time i hit san diego over a week ago.

As you see, it's not very descriptive in what's generating the error.

Try setting your log level to 'warn'. That should give us some more info. :D

I tried it again and. alas, it worked. i'm underway to yokosuka, japan.

i have no idea why it work NOW. but it does.
