Problem With The F-10

Postby Bravo-21 » Mon May 03, 2010 10:57 am

I taxi it down the runway, and when i actually get enough speed to take off, it either takes off then spins continuously, then crashing. Or it just has it's back two wheels stuck to the ground whilst the rest of the plane is desperately trying to takeoff. Someone help me please?

How do you have the aircraft configured?

Not switching on the AP before taking off, are you?

Cheers,
Mattt.

I load the game up, turn the auto-start on, press B push 9, then 0 till i straighten up to the runway, then keep hold of 9 till i get enough speed, then i push page down.

9/PageUp increases thrust, while 3/PageDn decreases thrust.
To control your plane, you use the arrow keys. Press the down key to pull the nose up (will make the aircraft go up most of the time), and up-key to push the nose down (and descend).
The 0-key moves your rudder to the left. A large rudder deflection might be usefull to keep your plane centered on the ground, but once you get airborn you will spin without exception.

Reading the manual isn't a bad thing in a sim... ;)

Gijs

Enabling your HUD (press h) might not be a bad idea until you get an idea of what you need to do. Gijs explained it rather well - and you might have a look at this link for more info on keyboard controls.
