This is based on distance from the airport.
You fly an inbound course towards a DME and then, at a specified distance, do a 90deg turn to enter the arc.
The correct distance, altitude, and also suggested/allowed inbound radials should be given on an approach procedure plate for a given airport.

Hello Nikos,

as shown on the chart (https://www.aurora.nats.co.uk/htmlAIP/Publications/2019-03-28-AIRAC/graphics/97371.pdf). Depends on your Aircraft & speed. On a DME 10 ARC you can turn about +-10 degree bevore you reach the runway heading to the heading to intercept the Localizer. Have a look at your Zero reader.
