need a lesson on flying T 28

Have not been able to start aircraft-so no fly
very recently opened and it seemed to start automatically--don't know what button I hit to do that. however, discovered rather quickly that the throttle was at full and we are moving down the runway--fortunately the stick was working and we made a smooth take off and got to cruise altitude and found that the throttle is inactive???? so aborted the flight-no landing---
Have tried many times to start the aircraft and the prop spins and it fires but will not start. This one time was a crazy event ---
Would appreciate any ideas on what I need to do'
Thanks
