Autopilot Cessna C172p

Postby mysako » Wed Apr 07, 2021 9:46 am

Hello everyone,

I'm new to flightgear and loving it so far.

Could someone please help me with this issue:-

I can not open the Autopilot from either the menu (it is greyed out) or by using the F11 key.

Any help for this beginner question is much appreciated.

You need to operate it from the 3D cockpit.

For what to do look here: https://wiki.flightgear.org/Bendix/King ... _Autopilot

As benih says, the default c172p doesn't have a dialog menu for the autopilot.

There exist development versions with this dialog and it may be available in some future version of FG. Currently, the autopilot on the C172P must be operated using the 3D model directly

Thanks so much for the replies.

Yep that is what I am doing - operating from the 3D cockpit.

Thanks again
