How to pan the view using the keyboard

Is there any way to pan the view in Flightgear using the keyboard. It does not matter if it has to get technical. I just need it so i can use the mouse for flying the plane and controlling the view using the keyboard.

not sure if this is what you are looking for but shift and the number pad will switch the look direction...

shift-8 - look forward (aka default look direction)
shift-9 - look front right
shift-6 - look right
shift-3 - look rear right
shift-2 - look rear
shift-1 - look rear left
shift-4 - look left
shift-7 - look front left
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Shift + Arrow keys also work.
There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.

with numb-lock on, shift-number on the keypad IS the arrows in most cases... some programs do actually monitor the shift status, though... not sure if FG does that or not... i've not tried the inverted T arrows which are only arrows and there's only four of them...
