Flightgear 2020.1.2 Positioning in air bug

Postby cyyz_spotter » Fri Jul 10, 2020 6:10 pm

I know this version of flightgear is relatively new and can have bugs but I just wanted to see if this was a widespread issue. When you go to the "Location" bar in the menu and select position aircraft in air you can set yourself up for approaches and things which is what I usually did in 2018.3.5, the stable version. When you set yourself up for an approach, certain airports have bugs where you will be facing sideways about 45 degrees off the runway instead of having a runway heading. This happens in various airports and some airports do not have this problem and some airports will even have the runway behind you instead of a approach. I thought this was an issue with the default hangar planes but I tested with aircraft that I got from external sources and the approaches were still like this so it is probably internal of the simulator
