many time it does not open thrust reverse on 787-8

hi ,
from some day i try to use the 787-8 , but i show that many ,when i want to open "thrust reverse" sometime it's open and works but others many, to much time the "thrust reverse" it's not open ,
does anyone know if there is a reason for that ?

If that aircraft is like it's predecessor (B777), the wheels must be on the ground before the reverse thrust will activate.

I try it on runway before to take off , in the same condition sometime it's open sometime not

I dont know the 787-8, but it can be (like on the Citation II) that the thrust lever must be full back in idle position.
If you use a joystick with a thrust handle, it can be that the calibration of the handle is little off.
This means, if the handle is full back, the joystick send 0.0003 and this is not the idle position for the code.
