Camel engine will not start

I have the two magnetos toggled up, throttle open (forward) and the starter turns but the engine does not start.

where's your mixture knob?

don't flood the engine! this is just like old cars with the choke on them... you have to get the air/fuel mixture correct if you expect the engine to run ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

perhaps the positioning of the mixture knob on your yoke is too sensitive and hard to set to an exact number? this might be able to be adjusted in the same way that the yoke/joystick can be adjusted...

it is also possible that the craft's code is too tight in this area and could be loosened by extending the range of valid startup mixture values...

but maybe you can do it by using the keyboard keys for the mixture?
