Nope, noone is saying that. IRL, it is not permitted, but the aircraft probably would not break apart.

numbers for the fdm? or structural load limits?


I guess whatever might be at issue. But I was referring to the structural load.

just did a bit of abuse on this little aircraft and had it at 6.4g.

what is the safety factor for essential parts in general aviation? 1.2?

update 10.9g 8)

If your referring to the cub or the c172p, I know we went a ways past spec limits.

the others wouldn't keep their wings straigt.

both :x

doesn't in the j3 the wingtips bend, while in the c172 they rip off?

a damage model in the pa28 would be fun, but maybe not a priority at the moment.

I have definitely had everything get ripped off the fuselage after clipping some canyons and ended up with a Piper torpedo. The Super Cub is able to still retain flight after breaking a wing and smooshing the landing gear. I'm a good pilot xD
