Bad news, the new Gyro is not synching again with the IDG 28 again. Does this mean the additional code has some how disappeared again.

Nothing has changed in the panel.
I have trouble determining which of those two needed the listeners.
The IDG PA28 has the stec 55. That needed the listeners.
You should have put the listener code at the bottom of
Nasal/stec-55x.nas

I can change both from my panel.

I can change to the KAP 140 in the IDG and it's not syching their either. I looked for your code and it had gone. I will input again and see what happens.

Edit; This is crazy. Now the Route Manager feature is greyed out with 55x when it wasn't before. Still not synching

Edit: Completely shut down and rebooted everything and still it won't synch.

I don't understand how that change could just disappear.

I think the KAP140 uses a different internal property value. It would probably need a similar fix.
This seems to be the challenge. Some autopilots use their own property values.
Maybe D-ECHO will get a mod in on his PA28 for you.

I will try to delete all trace of Pirate then re-install again as a last attempt.

Is the rest working? Is it connecting and displaying flight data, just not responding to the heading bug?

Every bit is working except it is not synching with the cockpit heading bug in IDG 28.

Then it probably isn't going to do any good to reinstall Pirate's Panel, especially if the panel's altimeter setting knob works.
It needs a fix installed in the aircraft.

Edit. If you want to find out which is not working, start the sim and select "Debug -> Display internal properties"
Select "autopilot/settings"
and watch the value of "heading-bug-deg" as you change the heading bug on the panel.
That value will probably change with your panel, but not with the aircraft's heading bug control.

No thing. I like programming and flying. This fulfills both of those.

I'm not trying to stir up a storm here, but there should be some consistency on controls that are very common.

I think the autopilot heading bug control property, like the altimeter setting, should be consistent.

You are right only the panel alters settings in autopilot. What I don't understand is if it works with KAP140 on 79 Warrior why doesn't it work when I change to KAP140 in IDG 28.

That I can't answer.
However, it appears that D-ECHO has fixed your problem with his PA28. It is supposed to be using the common heading bug value. You might want to check it out.

The piratespanel code stays the same. The new PA28 D-ECHO just patched should now respond without modification.

You might want to ask him about it in Development -> Aircraft
