Are you certain you are not experiencing power or heat problems with your computer? One of the symptoms of power sags is USB problems.

I would be having problems right now if I wasn't aware of this.
I removed my wimpy 240w power supply and replaced it with a 600w CoolerMaster supply.
I replaced the case fans with Noctua fans.

My challenge would be the 75 watts used/radiated from my GTX1050Ti video card.

Edit: If the problem occurs intermittently, and mainly when you are flying IFR and on approach, I would suspect heat or power. My computer really struggles to keep up. I drop to about 30fps from 60.

Suddenly the weather changed (I have a METAR script), the DHC6 yawed right, pitched up, rolled hard to the right, and plowed in just right of the runway. No amount of input would stop it.

Hmmm, again discontinuity in weather. I'm happy that I'm not alone with this nasty problem. I crashed many times in GA aircrafts with this reason - steep wind speed and direction changes. When You are climbing 80 kts in C172 a 20 kts headwind change direction about 180 degs in half second, You have almost unsolvable problem. When You have this problem 3 or 4 times in one day, You will stop use GA airplanes or leave FG.

I see a third alternative. I haven't looked into it deep enough yet, but now you have my interest up.

There must be a way to prevent radical wind direction, speed, and altimeter setting changes (the three settings that could kill you) to just change in an instant. It needs to be slowed up somehow. I have used setListener very effectively in the past. Is there a way to get a new METAR report, then slowly change each of those three settings over 30 seconds or so? That might give a pilot time to adjust.

It is not my computer. It is less than 3 months old and is a purpose built Gaming Rig by Novitech. My son did the specifications it has a very large power supply. 16gb of ram, I tb of memory & another 500gb backup a Nvidia Graphics Card. The only time the frame rate drops below 60 is when I use the 'accelerator'. There is literally no heat coming from the unit, which has a glass side.

I cannot reproduce your problem. Maybe if you mentioned which OS and FG version you are using?

That is not to say you don't have a problem, just my OS and version may not be affected.

Edit: Would you please explain your input setup. Maybe I am mixing your situation with another.

Did you mention you are using your throttle quadrant mixture lever for rudder (trim)? If so, how did you modify that?

And just as a side note, The upwind approach at Les Saintes (TFFS) is steep. There is a ridge you must cross, then dive to the runway. The problem (normally) is too much speed and overshooting the runway.

Sorry some how I missed this reply. I have Windows 10 and the 2019 FG version. As for throttle quadrant. I did use one of the sliders. When rudders were applied it simply worked via up down motion Right/Left with centre position neutral. I now have a trim wheel I made which is a 10 turn Pot through a joystick controller. That works as it should.
