C150L issues

Postby bbuske » Sat Sep 01, 2018 12:09 pm

I have an issue with the C150L

First of all there is a loud morse code being received all the time. Even with all the radio volume down to 0 or 5%. This makes it impossible to hear the morsecode of the tuned station. The only way to stop it is by turning off radio or disable avionics sound (lowering avionics volume doesn’t do anything).

Secondly, lately upon startup I get a warning to check circuit breaker when trying to turn on landing lights. Quite obvious what to do. However, all the circuit breakers of the C150 are not clickable. There is no way to do that. In addition circuit breakers look good.

VOR / ILS navigation won’t work. The indicator just remains as if nothing was tuned. No matter what frq is put in the radio. I suspect this possibly being related to the morsecode that won’t go away.

Any ideas what’s causing this? Any fixes? I have tried deleting and reinstalling the aircraft, reloaded it, restored the cockpit, all to no avail.

Cheers
Ben

where did you get this craft from?
did you use the launcher to download and install it or some other method?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

It is part of the launcher and the standard hangar. That's the way I got it.

I suspect the second NAV radio is turned to a VOR with the volume turned up. The 150 model only has a single set of radios in the cockpit, but if you select Equipment->Radio Settings you should be able to change NAV2. I suggest just changing the frequency.

Looking through the logs, the 150L in the FlightGear hangar hasn't been modified since 2016, so this is unlikely to be fixed any time soon. Unless you want to take a look yourself ? :)

Thanks. I will have a look.
Actually I would love to have a look. The C150 and the C182RG are my favorite aircraft. Well and the Caravan.

OK, here is an update:

Turning off COM 2 in the menu as you mentioned worked. I just changed the frequency.

Also, the error about the circuit breaker is gone as well. However, the VOR/OBS Indicator still would not show anything. I have tuned the right frequency and I can hear the morse code. The course and bearing are laid out correctly on the map. However, there is nothing showing up on the gauge. It just remains centered. Tried several VOR and an ILS marker, when landing.
