I found the FG FTP page and tried a few planes. I am beginning to feel like Goldilocks..... some planes are too small, cold, etc. -- IOW, just not right for me. Others are way too large -- more like too complex. And many seem to be buggy -- bad graphics implementation (as far as I can tell). Anyway, to use another analogy..... there are so many planes on the FTP site it makes you feel like a kid in a candy store! So now the fun begins.....

you don't need a zip... use the launcher and install the ones in the FG hanger... i know the b1900d is in there because i've flown it quite a bit...

so in the launcher, click on the aircraft tab on the left... then you can scroll the list using the default filters or you can change the filters and look again... i generally turn off the filters so i can see all the craft... i have 531 individual directories in my FGAddon's Aircraft directory... many craft have several variants so the count of directories is mainly a base count... there's a LOT of craft available...

anyway, once you find a craft you are interested in, click the [Install] button and it'll be downloaded and installed so you can go fly it...

I see what you mean. And it's very nice that they let you set your filter criteria so the searches will match the users' preferences. Well done. This ought to keep me off the streets at night for awhile <g>.

Thanks for the tip. When my sim skills improve, maybe I try something big like the 777 you suggested

Like the DHC-2 DeHavland "Beaver".
Well developed. Very nice cockpit and panel. Nearly all switches, levers, and buttons mouse
operable, except mixture and prop which require keyboard m/M and n/N. Realistic
R985 sound. Use float version for VOR and ADF. Enter beaver in search to locate.
