Is there a way to tell by the numbering of files which piece of scenery is which area. For example the file loaded with the latest download of the sim e010n50.

The filename is a conjunction from the longitude and latitude.
This Scenery is located at 10° East (up to < 11°) and 50° North (up to < 51°).

Scenery coordinates e010n50 are for the Schweinfurt area of Germany. Daylight raids by Army Air Corps B17s during WW2 attacking the ball bearing factory with great American losses.

Use this link to see a world map divided into scenery squares. If you hover your mouse over the area you seek to download it will give the lat long coordinates (bottom right). Hover over Germany and you will see the coordinates correspond with the scenery you refer to. Also type KSFO into box top left and you zoom straight into San Fran Intl airport or any other airfield you wish to type!
