ATIS - Gemany (not USA)

HI,
I hope I am asking in the right place.
I know one can listen to the ATIS of certain airports, and I assume, at least as far as I checked it the ATIS is the real one as heard on the radio. Since in Germany publicly broadcasting the ATIS is forbidden by the telecommunications law. Now my question where does flightgear get the ATIS from, say Hamburg, from? Is it some intelligent parsing of the METAR which is publicly available or is there some "secret" web link where one can get the ATIS from?

Any ATIS message generated within FlightGear is completely artificial. If you use real weather fetch it will be based on recent METARs, however, so it might be similar to a real one (and I suppose the real ones may also be generated by software so might sound very similar).

Given that real ATIS messages (primarily) are sent by radio with a limited range around each airport it would have been extremely inconvenient to somehow record these (for all airports in the world even) and funnel them into the "game"-universe... (which would better then always need to use real weather...).
