Route Manager with 1900D

Postby tonyj » Thu Nov 09, 2017 5:25 pm

Hi,
I am enjoying flying the Beechcraft 1900 and want to use the route manager for some longer flights... I understand how to set up the RM and activate it but am hitting a mental block when trying to actually use it! If I take off then hit F11 and set 'AP' then I am usually sent on a fast flight back to terra firma.... The wiki guide tells me to click LNAV but I cannot find this control. Is it within the AP area or the GPS? Any clarification would be welcome.

PS. I am now a Flightgear addict. A terrific bit of software

set F11 before you take off... better yet, use F10 and select Autopilot->Route Manager... get everything set before you leave the gate... like a real flight does ;) ;) ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
