FG best developed airliner

Postby camileck » Mon Aug 21, 2017 5:17 pm

Hello! Question out of curiosity. I am quite new to FG world so it is kind of newbie question. I would like to get to know better Airliners world and would like to start with the best one ;) So, what is the best developed airliner in your opinion, considering "standard" FG categories (FDM, Systems, Cockpit, Model)? It does not matter either it comes from official FGAddon or some 3rd party hangar.

Regards!

A320Family is slowly going to be one of the best I'm aware of...

yeah, the one in FGAddon is in A320-Family whereas josh's group's stuff is in A320Family (without the dash)...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Ok, so we have vote for A320Family. Any other opinions? :)

Keep your eyes peeled on the forums for a new aircraft with the same level of depth as the A320Family... ;)

Your'e sayng that your'e new. I recommend you start with little propellers aircraft, such the DR 400, The 172p, you know, then try private jets and familiarize with the jet engines, and finaly, choose, Airliners or Military Aircrafts

Good luck

Totally agree, I am mastering C172P right now and VFR principles but I would like my next step to be IFR and airliners after some time, and as I said, I would like to start with best one :)

You can try the Tu-154b and see if you get it into the air without autostart

Also the 707 or the Concorde are pretty detailed (though in the latter case in need of some love from the 3d department).

Trust me, The 707 it's what i'm actualy flying, And it can be very complex to an amateur

Test the Citation Bravo, The Citation X, when you dominate that, try the 777, It's a long range aircraft, but in the real life also do flights like Malta -> Cyprus Or Cyprus -> Milan

Then, you can try my favorite plane, the 707, it has got a complex startup, but there's checklist aviable in the plane and if you need it, I can help You :D

(I say this planes, because the a320, the ATR-72, and other aircrafts hasn't got a very good model, but also you can check the 757, it works pretty good too, but it hasn't got checklist, you can find it in a web, or a Youtube Tutorial or something)

Become a pilot it's a hard work, And it's long to ascend off grade (I mean, like change the plane or use other type of plane) You can try all the planes you can, but it isn't reallistic at all

Good Luck friend

That's not true. The A320 has a decent outside model and a pretty good cockpit model, and has one of the most advanced systems.

The 707 is definitely great, but I think the A320 is at the same level, if not better.

@Bulldog 1

With the A320Family we are all refering to the aircraft in development by IDG (https://github.com/it0uchpods/A320Family). The one on FG-Addon is not so good, but the one linked here is study level (still WIP), and is getting more realistic and fully working every day.

Question out of curiosity - why such better developed aircrafts versions are not in FGAddon, being used as default ones (after proper testing etc)? Why in FGAddon hangar some of the offered aircrafts are just "poorer" version of aircrafts that can be downloaded from 3rd party repositories?
