Exception: NASA Space Shuttle Atlantis

Postby eric » Thu Aug 10, 2017 12:32 pm

I'm running FlightGear 2017.2.1 in Ubuntu 16.04: NASA Space Shuttle Atlantis out of KATL (because I thought it would put me on the launch pad regardless of Airport selection).

Last message in the FlightGear opening screen is "Loading Scenery"

...which corresponds to the last thing to print in the log window is:
Loading stg file Path "/home/.../.fgfs/terraGIT/Terrain/w090n30/w085n33/1564368.stg"

I get this exception in an error message dialog:
FGPropertyValue::GetValue() The property systems/dps/ops does not exist.

I cloned this repo: https://github.com/FGMEMBERS/SpaceShuttle.git
I'm not experiencing issues with other Aircraft.

Thanks in advance for any help or debugging advise.
Control tower to a 747: “United 239 heavy, your traffic is a Fokker, one o’clock, three miles, Eastbound.”
United 239: “Approach, I’ve always wanted to say this… I’ve got the little Fokker in sight.”

Use the version of FG's FGAddon (obtainable via launcher or from the repository) - the issue you're seeing has been fixed there a while ago.

Otherwise we don't endorse or support 3rd party repository content (such as FGMembers).

Also, you need to hit the right arrow button until you see "on launch pad". This will avoid the problem.
There are free alternatives to (almost) every program you encounter. You just have to find them.

There's no guarantee that this is the only problem since the version is evidently not identical with either current stable or development - so I would simply not use it.
