instruments overlay forward view

Postby zzflight » Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:14 pm

Not sure which forum to post this in:

Trying to configure flight gear to have a special view:

forward looking with scenery only, but I want to configure a few generic instruments (airspeed, heading, altitude, vertical speed) to overlay the screen...

it's not a cockpit view, just a few instruments added on top of the forward view without any of the other cockpit artifacts.

Does this view mode exist yet or should I hack some xml files?

For the instrument part: a non-3d-enabled HUD might do the trick. Not exactly pretty but it's quick.
