Reporting a bug - issue tracker 404

Postby powerclam » Thu Jul 13, 2017 12:45 am

Greetings all - not really sure where to put this post, so admins plz feel free to relocate as is most suitable.

I was trying to report a bug that is causing FG to crash.
I attempted to use the URL specified ( http://flightgear-bugs.googlecode.com/ )
This returns a 404 error: "404. That’s an error.
The requested URL / was not found on this server. That’s all we know."

So... umm... has the issue tracker moved and the forum headers not updated, did I just pick an unlucky time to try, or something else that isn't occurring to me?

So anyway, I'm going to report my crash-error in another post but if bug-report methodology has been changed, I'd love the information to report correctly!

Thanks all!

Google Code shut down a few years ago. All of the FightGear infrastructure is now on SourceForge. See the "Tickets" link there.

where do you find that URL? the "Bug Tracker" link at the top of these forums properly points to sourceforge...

if this is something in the wiki, please let us know so we can get it fixed... i'm fairly sure that we went through the wiki and found most all of them but there may be some that were missed...

if this is a link on some external site, the site admin for that site needs to be informed of the bad link... which site did you get that link from??
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I'm seeing it at the top of the main Support forum:

ahhhh, in the pink/red box... an admin will need to look at those and fix them... or maybe revise the pink/red box text a little and point to the links above the logo image on every page :)
