Aircraft spins out of control

Postby alba-69 » Sun May 28, 2017 3:00 pm

Hi all

I am using FlightGear version 2017.2.1 on Windows 10. About five to ten minutes into a flight after take off the aircraft just rolls over into a spin on it's own. It doesn't happen every time but does anyone know if this is a bug or what the fault could be? It happens when i fly 757's and 767's.

Thanks.

Is this with the autopilot on, or flying manually?

can you be more specific on which aircraft you are using?
do you have the same problem with the c172p?
what are your weather conditions?
where, exactly, are you flying? where are you starting from? where are you flying to? what's the route?

i recall one of the large craft that i tried numerous times to fly... on takeoff, i'd get the AP switched on and then enroute to the departure way-points, some would be too sharp for the craft's speed and it would over-correct itself right into a spin and dive... i forget which craft it was but i just started to skip to the next way-point several times to skip over those sharp turns and head on out to the first non-departure way-point and continue the flight from there...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Problem sharp tuning at overflown waypoints sounds very likely. Been trying without success to get some of these big ships to spin for ages. Definitely worth a shot.
