EC130 B4 - Engine start...

Postby tsx2006 » Sat Mar 18, 2017 9:57 am

Hi all,
I have a question, obviously, I can't get the engine of the current EC130 B4 to start. I do everything according to the checklist (every item is green except WLT TST, which turns green and then orange again), I even had a look at the tutorials. And yes I fueled up the helicopter and connected the external power.

The helicopter is awesome the previous versions worked like a charm, but this version - maybe I miss something.

Thanks for the help

Hi tsx2006,

I tested the ec130 in FG 2017.2.0 (both FGAddon r2595 and mhab's repository commit ef1ee53e524eea736441d12b18f0e1d6bba90d84).

The W/LT TST item in the Pre-start checklist stays green as long as you keep the button pressed (on the panel button), then turns back orange. I think this is normal, and what "pressed/released" means in the checklist item. This is just a way to check that all warning lights in the top-left screen work:

Button not pressed:

Button pressed:

So just check that the lights (FUEL P etc.) in the top-left screen are on as long as you keep W/LT TST pressed.

I can follow the checklists and and tutorals fine, as well as do autostart (and fly the heli). I'm not the developer of the ec130, but as a simple user it seems to me this W/LT TST item should not prevent you from starting the engine. It's unclear to me what is blocking you, actually. Did you do the three startup tutorials (or checklists)?

If you still have the problem, maybe ask the question in this thread, which mhab probably follows.

Hope this helps!

I have the same problem. It's like the fuel pump is not working. Did you work around it @tsx2006?
