777 issues.

Postby PavlinS » Tue Jan 31, 2017 12:03 am

Hello, dear pilots.
I am a huge fen /as most of you know/ on the 777 in Flightgear. I am posting some staffs around the newest version of the 777 family I find annoying.
For example- holding RWY point:
Image
Image
As you can see - the plane is STUCK on the taxiway and no such ting as "holding point:. Okay, but this is also happening on THE RWY. It's weird!
Problems with thiese airports: KLAX , KJFK, KBOS, KLGA, OMDB. Not correct ILS settings - you are put ILS from one RWY - on the map another RWY is active. Even if you go on the active one ILS settings never start- they are on the place, but never came to active. Example:
Image
I am trying to do app distance and practice only landing - the plane is on pause when I get in. Of course I manage A/p so he can not crush. When I put on the simulator- drastically reduce spd and eventually is crushing- alt is losing on a hight V/s witch is annoying when I did not put any try to reduce altitude, just puting the hight written on the main display. This happens even if I try to controll manually.
Trust reversers not stop to be active- I am stuck with them and cannot taxiing properly. So I put autobrake to max and not using them at all.
I am using the newest one version of FG. My laptop has 4 GB's of RAM and Windows 10 Pro core. I really be appreciate any help with this issues.

Please try the latest 777: https://gitlab.com/fg777_seattle/fg777_ ... ref=master
Rename folder to 777

Good luck.

Some ILS frequencies are wrong if you look for them in the Flightgear server maps. In those cases I advise you to simply google "ILS ICAO code", ex.: "ILS KJFK" and there are many sites with the correct runway info, including ILS frequencies, for most airports. I had to do that a couple of times (EIDW and, I think, KJFK).
As for the thrust reversers, as you know, I have the some problem (another thread) and letting the (slow) thrust lever become idle before engagement and before disengagement doesn't help.

@PavlinS

Could you explain the condition of each picture?
I'm using Fgo so I don't have hold position. Please post the command line.
And I don't understand the issue you are saying on 3rd picture. What did you do to reach that condition?

On the third picture ILS settings does not work. On the 1st display it have been seen that in a G/S path does not work. I cant give you the log, because I already turn off the sim 1 day before.

@zacarias:

This is not helping at all. I have been try but still has an ILS problem. Even if I take ILS from the mpmap.

I meant what airport, runway, air reposition parameter such as distance, altitude, airspeed.
Normally ILS frequency will be automatically set when air reposition.
I can not retry without those information.

Listen closely:
The first two pictures are from KSFO. There has not issues with the ILS settings. Third one is near to OMDB. Try every RWY- I was trying 30R, hew was activate 12R. The third picture was from landing on 12R RWY. It was active on thew map but ILS settings does not start working /as you can see on the picture/.

I've checked OMDB 12R and 30L.
GS antenna position is not correct. Position is shifted to about 120deg 13000ft.
Please report as the defect.
This is not 777 issue.

surely you can't expect them to be fixed in that old version of FG your profile on the right says you are running???
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
