As I mentioned in issue #1397, I would invite those experiencing crashes to unplug any joysticks, because there might be an obscure Nasal bug somewhere causing crashes in joystick bindings... or at least that's what my research points to. Obviously it's a bad thing for a joystick/Nasal to crash FG without warning, but narrowing down that way would be helpful and I don't know when I'll have time to investigate more fully.

I'm fairly certain this may be the case, I looked through my logs and it seems a lot of crashes started happening the day after I got my joystick X52PRO
I'm using the current git compile and still experience multiple crashes, I'll try tonight with no joystick and see what happens

EDIT: This seems to be the case for me, FG has crashed significantly less with the joystick unplugged

Were any changes made recently in git regarding this issue, cause either its fixed or I got very lucky. I'll try again soon to see if it's just not luck

EDIT: Nope... still crashes with joystick plugged in

@MasteroftheSKIES: I tracked down an issue regarding joysticks/bindings, so it'll appear in the next release or bugfix release and you can test it then (unless you run Git...). Either way, I still doubt it's related to scenery - given the number of reports about the joystick one that we've gotten, it's probably your issue too ;).

It seems to be fixed now in git

Been playing for several hours with the joystick and it hasn't crashed yet

Still no crashes :)

Something odd but
When I use the squared option in my joystick xml in doesn't seem to work on left aileron, it does seem to work on right
Im not sure if this is a new issue cause I just started using this option
