It might be a good idea to post screenshots with the hud activated as the arrows show rudder / aileron input.
So both conditions below in stable state:

Image
straight during take off run

Image
straight during initial climb

Maybe you can compare with what you experience.

Yes, the transition between the two states is difficult ("three seconds of hell for passengers"). Maybe there is a way to do it smoothly.

So at least in 2018.3.1 on ubuntu 18.04 with a thrustmaster stick with default configuration there is no wingover. not something I would call wing over.

Alternatively you can use the version, which will be part of the next FG release.

All,

Thanks for the input.

I have solved most of the issues: the C150 and PA28-161 from above look really good, yet to fly them though.
[Edit:] The PA28 is brilliant! I am using it to pre-fly my assigned NAVEX along with the local terrain model from FG. The C150 is not bad, but basic.
The C172p from https://github.com/c172p-team/c172p comes up with an error and will not load - not sure if it is something I have done; I extracted the .zip and moved the folder into Aircraft like the others...
I don't see how to attach a screenshot, but the error message reads"
Code: Select all
FGPropertyValue::GetValue()
The property propulsion/tank[0]/density-lbs_per_gal
does not exist

FYI.
Anyway, I have solution(s) to my problem, let's now see how IF works out.
Cheers,
GregS
