Strange sounds in 767

Postby I love flying » Tue Sep 27, 2022 2:21 pm

Today, I was flying from Athens, to Edinburgh, when I started hearing crackling noises, on other flights, this wasn't heard, I thought it was my plane hitting hail, my plane is a 767-300. Is this a feature, bug, or a hardware issue? Please help. :(
Flying is so magical, just hearing the hum of the engines as I plow through the blue yonder...

If you encounter this again, try turning the volume of all your radios to 0. It might also be caused by a hardware problem if you are using external speakers / headphones.

Okay, but I am not using any external audio equipment, only my PC. :|

you don't have any speakers plugged in? ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Are you sure it wasn't the stick shaker (not sure if this is implemented on the 767), because you were stalling?

how can you hear sounds from a PC then? is it actually a laptop? they have speakers built in...
not that this will help with the noise you reported but clarity of what is actually being used is important at times...
