Default airport/wether settings

Postby A-6 B/N » Mon Jan 17, 2022 10:00 pm

I'm flying the A-10 out of NAS Oceana (KNTU). When I reset the system to start again, FG reverts to Hilo. It also erases the manual weather I put in. Is there any way to save my choices of airport and weather as the defaults for future flights?

If you want a specific set of options each time FG starts, a good place to specify them is fgfsrc file.
Have a look here: https://wiki.flightgear.org/Command_line_options

Thanks -- although I have zero experience writing command line code.

You do not need experience. If command line is not comfortable for you, add options to (from memory) 'additional options' section of the launcher.
And apologies for pointing you to an outdated link - it was the first google hit I got. But I think it contained a correct information nevertheless.
Thanks Gijs for correcting.

Thanks. I got the default airfield set to KNTU. But I then set "--visibility-miles=50" in the options box, but it didn't seem to take (still had to set the visibility once I started)
