Anyone flying the A-10 Warthog?

Postby A-6 B/N » Tue Jan 25, 2022 8:48 pm

On landing the A-10, I can maintain a nice donut on the AOA, but am having a very difficult time maintaining the glide path. Full flaps, speed brakes out, but even small throttle changes result in large deviations from the desired glide path and as I get close in, I end up either way high or too low. Would appreciate any tips!

Sorry, been away for a while. I am not familiar with "auto throttle:" what is it and how do you set it?

Thanks,

You find the autothrottle in the autopilot dialog (Menu->Autopilot->Autopilot control) - it's pretty much self-explaining ! ;)

Not seeing that in my drop-down menu. However, now that I've had enough practice, I'm getting a lot smoother in my glide path control -- problem solved
