Boeing 707 Engine Fires

Postby CosmonautSanchezki » Fri Sep 17, 2021 6:34 pm

I know there are a few threads on here discussing the Boeing 707 and engine fires, but those threads deal with causing them.

I have the opposite problem: they seem to ignite no matter what. At some point in the flight, they ignite. Usually all four of them near simultaneously. I follow the checklists to the letter, and I'm not cruising at max throttle.

Is there something I am missing or something in the checklists that I should/shouldn't do?

Me and son (CSAADAM) was not able engine set to fire. But after take off from hot Dakar we had dangerously high oil temp.
4 years ago on group flight from YSSY to NZQN son's engines fires, but he do not remember the reason.

What about meteo conditions and flightplan ? What 707 You used and what livery ?

Boeing 707-420 in Boeing 707 livery. Flying out of KORD. Just tried to record a flight TWICE to show that they ignite no matter what and to see if there's something I'm doing wrong, but they were fine. So strange.

I'm not familiar with 707, CSAADAM has more than 200 hours in this 707. Very strange. We do not know, where is problem :(
