Tu-154 Autopilot

Postby Ivan-Pekar » Sat Oct 06, 2018 8:27 pm

Hello,
I am currently learning how to use the Tu-154B autopilot, but there are no instructions or tutorials. Could anyone suggest some tutorials I could use?

Thanks,
Ivan

Dont know if you know it, but if your not russian speaking, you can switch all the textures in cockpit to english.

I am Russian speaking, so that's not the issue for me. It's just that I'm used to using the A320 and 737 autopilot, rather than older aircrafts'. I would like to know which buttons are for heading/vertical mode et.c. Generally, how it works.

Thanks,
Ivan

Hi Ivan!

There are two .pdfs in the tu154b/Docs folder with explanations, instructions and such in russian and english (so you have the choice!).
The section of interest here is "ABSU", p. 27 and on in the english pdf. A little bit of reading, but worth it, especially because the TU-154B's autopilot is so very different from many other (new) ones, and thereby very interesting.!
Hope that helps,

Ciao,

Adrian
