Logitech Extreme 3D not recognized

Good day,

I use Gentoo 64 Bit and my Joystock from Logitech is not recognized, when i run js_demo.

I use FlightGear 2020.3.8

Is there a solution for my problem with the joystick ?

Hi,

Flightgear normally works with the old kernel joystick interface. Can you check that you enabled it (CONFIG_INPUT_JOYDEV).
If it is enabled, make sure there is a file /dev/input/js* for your joystick.

If it is disabled, the easy fix is to enable it :)
If you disabled the joystick interface on purpose, FG can also work with the (newer) kernel event interface. However this is slightly more experimental, meaning that you will need to write your own joystick configuration file, tools such as fgjs and js_demo won't work, and IIRC you may need a udev rule to give permissions to /dev/hidraw*.

Thanks. This wasn't enabled in my kernel settings. I am now recompling my kernel
