Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle axis 8 and 9 on Ubuntu 20.04?

Postby omnibus1 » Sat May 16, 2020 9:09 pm

Hallo,

I recently bought this control and there are two POV axis numbered axis 8 and 9 (which I checked with jstest are working), but I cannot see them or configure them in Flighgear's joystick configuration.
Just adding the axis to the xml-file as a first try did not work.
How can I make these axis work in Flightgear? Would be nice to be able to use them exactly what they are meant for: viewing around.

Cheers

Disclaimer: I have not actually run FlightGear for a few years, so I am not fully up to date when it comes to the joystick configuration dialog.

I am not 100% sure that the joystick configuration dialog lists all of the available axis. What you likely could do is to create a custom configuration using the joystick configuration dialog and then open up the custom configuration file in a text editor and add bindings for the additional two axis.

This FlightGear wiki article might be of some help when it comes to setting up the other bindings: Bindings (permalink)
