Daniel I use 4 monitors. The centre screen is where I open FG. I use browser maximise rather than FG toggle because of the 'focus' issue. When in FG full screen and I click the mouse on FG screen the screen momentarily flashes black. It doesn't do that on browser full screen.

I use my other 3 monitors for various other functions like Mmap, Phi interactive map , Skyvector and general things like email and other online programs of interest.

I also have 2 special panels devised by Surfer Tim and I have ruled them out.

I have no issues when using mouse and keyboard for other functions.

Only firewall is Windows Defender Program

Everything on the computer is mostly FG specific. I use a laptop for other things like general browsing etc. I don't experience a 'focus' issue on the laptop I can have 4 or 5 URLs active and seamlessly switch.

Nearly missed the vital bit. Yes FG does lose focus when inactivity that is when keyboard functions don't work and I have to click on FG then the keys will work. As I say I now have Murgee Auto Click running in the back ground that is keep the FG Focus.

Okay, how long a period of inactivity are we talking about here? Does FG also lose focus when you run it in window mode (that is with visible title bar at the top) preferably not maximized so that we can see a bit better what else is going on on the desktop?

Can you reproduce this when you don't use any of the other applications you mentioned above (browser, panels, "online programs")? If yes: have you tried logging in as another user (preferably new and unconfigured/empty account)?

You also haven't answered the FG startup question. How do you run FG and how do you manage that fullscreen FG is on that specific screen?

Cheers,
Daniel

It's literally just a couple of minutes inactivity. It happens despite all the other applications.

I thought I did answer I start FG from desktop icon and maximise with browser link as I said in FG toggle screen flashes black when I press left mouse.

With "despite other applications" you mean FG running without any other application?

And what about the rest? Another user? FG in window mode?

Cheers,
Daniel

I am the only user on this computer, no one else is registered. As for Window Mode. I have tried Control F Alt enter and also added -w when that didn't work -window in properties.

So any other way of window Mode

For the User:
add another user account using your system settings and log in as this test user. The environment of windows and FG should be minimal.

Window mode:
In the launcher disable the "Fullscreen" switch before startup or press Shift-F10 when already in the sim. After that FG should have a regular window like the explorer and everything else. Please tell me if the color of the title bar changes once you have this focus loss problem.

Cheers,
Daniel

All that happens when I press F10 is the menu bar disappears. There is no title bar on in FG full screen, and it's white in browser screen. It doesn't change colour.

Please read my post again! I said Shift-F10. I find it tiresome that you always manage to read only one half of my posts.

All that does is just shift between FG full screen and browser full screen. I have been doing that using the View/Toggle. I apologise if I miss read it. However nothing has changed. All that happens when it 'loses focus' is keyboard functions don't work in sim, but works in other programs on other monitors. The H (HUD) binding which I have attached to a button on my Joystick also doesn't work. Joystick works, throttle quadrant and all associated switches work

You still haven't done everything I asked you to try. :?

It would be helpful if you took the time, read everything and do it. Then report ALL your findings and not the first problem you encounter along the way.

By the way, please post a screenshot of your test case, with task bar and systray visible.

The only the only two things I haven't done is Window mode and you will recall I asked if you had a solution to be able to set it as I had tried 4 different methods. Secondly why should a second user make the slightest difference. Same computer same W10. Well I've added a new user. F3 did not capture the systray or task by.

Edit: In the new User it is behaving in exactly the same way. As the autoclicker works I will not waste any more of your time. Thanks you.

Every user has his own user registry. Testing on a new user profile is a well known test case to check if the problem is system wide or user wide.

danielHL want to see a windows screenshot, not a FG screenshot.
Its normal that FG with F3 capture only FG content.
If you make a screenshot with the appropriate windows function, it will capture the visible content of windows.

Just to add to the mix I thought I'd try the older version of FG 2018 3.4 and it doesn't have the problem. So what does that tell you ?
