Sensitivity Of Sliding used for Rudder,

Postby Robertfm » Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:44 pm

I need to reduce the sensitivity of a slider I use instead of rudder pedals. Can I do this but altering the 'number' in the Debug, browser internal properties. If so what number should I use it currently changes extremely rapidly when I move the slider. The slightest of movement at take off can make be lose control of the nose wheel. Not all planes.

I think we need more specifics.
Is this a custom slider you made that works on multiple aircraft?
Can you show us the code to better understand how it is constructed?
Hard to give you a random number for what properties without any details.

It is a Saitek Quadant and one of the sliders is assigned to rudder. It shows under controls in Debug browser internal properties. So it's natively recognised by FG

@wlbragg: he's talking about a physical slider on his quadrant... he uses it for the rudder instead of pedals... on some craft it works well, on others it is too sensitive... he's trying to figure out how to make it work well in both cases by maybe altering a property in the sim...

@robertfm: which property number are you talking about, sir? you should be able to see its path at the top of the property browser...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

controls/flight/rudder +-'0.007949950173' (double). This is the number when the rubber is centralised and plane flying.
