Thrustmaster TWCS throttle: how to map the dialer

I have a Throttle TWCS throttle, which I try to map on Windows. I tried with both 2018.3.1 and the newest GIT version as of today. Unfortunately I cannot map the dialer on the left side of the throttle. I do not get any readings in the Joystick configuration dialog. However it works without trouble in DCS and the Windows Game Controller properties.

=> Has anyone succeeded in mapping the dialer? (I would like to map it to zoom, but that I can figure out once I know which axis or something else it actually is).
