nothing is wrong with your joystick... that's how the throttle works... i have the same thing on my Thrustmaster T16000M... i forget what i did to get the throttle to be zero when pulled all the way back but i know that i didn't do any editing of any config files... i think i worked it out in my OS's joystick calibration tool...
