I run windows so can't say for sure but just checked and there is a xml file in the windows version for this joystick so I can only assume that there is the equivilent file in the MAC version. Open the program files, go to data file, open input file, joysticks, logitech, and this joystick should be 3rd item listed. It is in the Windows version. Hope this helps?

I found the .xml file, but Logitech says the joystick is windows only. Does it still work?

Update just looked at the logitech forum and that confirms it is only Windows.

Although I don't have a Mac myself, looking around our forum seems to indicate it should work fine. Several FlightGear users are (or have been) using it on Mac. For example: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=16602

PS: I've renamed your topic and moved it to the "Hardware" section of our forum to increase chances a Mac user with the same stick will see it ;-)

my question regarding OS compatibility is "are they talking about the software that comes with the joystick or are they talking about the hardware when they say it is windows only?"... hardware shouldn't matter and most of the software that comes with these things is not needed at all... if you have the device, plug it in and see if it is recognized by the OS... maybe calibrate it using the OS' built-in calibration tool... otherwise, just fire up FG and see what you get when you move the stick around...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Yes i would agree with wkitty42 as all I had to do with the Trustmaster HOTAS X was just plug it in and it worked no set up needed. I also know if you plug something into a Windows PC and no software is present Windows will auto' search the web for the correct software, I don't know if it the case for MAC as I have never used or owned one

there are some mac users, yes... i/we can't tell you who they are, though... we've helped them in the past when they were trying things like installing craft downloaded from other hangers but it isn't like we wrote their names down on a list ;)
