Mapping Trim to a Rotary Pot?

Postby DF_Hammack » Sun Mar 26, 2017 11:02 am

Hi all, I've been too busy to be too involved with FG for almost 6 months now. It is frightening how much I have forgotten. I have a question that never came up for me before, as I didn't have pots on my Saitek Cyborg. I have a Saitek X45 now and am wondering if there is any way to map Elevator and Rudder trim to the two pots on my throttle? I think if this were possible it would lend real precision control to the trim functions.

I have a very old FlightGear version, but there is a joystick dialog (IIRC Main menu > File > Joystick something) that I think will let you see what axes are available and quite probably will help you get started mapping your controls.
