FG working with FX4300 and GTX-260?

Postby D-ECHO » Wed Aug 03, 2016 10:47 am

Hi,
I know, noob question :D, but as I'm building a new computer I'd like to ask whether anyone knows/has any experiences whether flightgear is working fine (and how good? ;)) with the AMD FX4300 and the NVidia GTX-260?
Thanks in Advance ;)

I think there is no problem.
Using an intel 4*3Ghz and a gt250 , it does fine for me. FG 2016.3.0

I also have a nvidia 260M in one of my older computers (notebook), and it is working just fine for most OpenGL/GLSL things - however, the more recent effects/eye-candy related additions are definitely too much to handle with this sort of rig - but otherwise, it's actually a pretty good card, and these days very affordable, too.
I wouldn't exactly build a new system with this GPU - but apart from that, it will work for most things.
