Flightgear-Airports: multi-select (0.0.32)

Postby sfr » Sat May 29, 2021 12:59 pm

Hi,

how can i select multiple parking positions for editing e.g. heading/type/size etc?
According to FGA issue #7 this was implemented/fixed in July 2020. In 0.0.32 shift-click doesn't work but rather holding shift allows you to mark an area that will be zoomed in to.
(reading that issue i discovered the CTRL-click option to select whole route branches, cool!)

So, how is multi-edit of parking positions possible?

Thx, Stefan

Bottom right is a button. You draw a polygon and et voila you get limited options to edit the group

First off thank you for the quick response.

Ah, the button is called 'Draw Guideline'. Call me dumb, but the name suggests this is a tool to, well, draw guidelines (e.g. used to say align parking spots) i'd never figured this is how you select a group of parking spots. Consider calling it 'Select Parkings' maybe. I see the options are limited :) Would it be possible to add the name and number fields too?

The new option 'Show Tooltips' is also nice. Is it the intended behaviour for the tooltips to disappear after 3-4 seconds?

Yes it’s intentional for the tooltips to disappear.

The tool was/is also a guideline. It shows the heading of the longest edge. That way it’s a piece of cake to align lots of parkings with the buildings. Names might be ok but number? They won’t all be the same.
