AI Aircraft don't take off from LOWW Runway 29/11

Postby powoflight » Tue Dec 04, 2018 1:07 pm

I want to check runway 29/11 for my new LOWW groundnet. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=35020
For that i am changing the wind direction in the launcher.
Start the launcher with Environment: Weather scenario: Manual input
and
XXXX 210550Z 29015KT 9999 NSC 25/07 Q1012 NOSIG - Wind comes from 290
OR
XXXX 210550Z 11015KT 9999 NSC 25/07 Q1012 NOSIG - Wind comes from 110
In both wind directions aircraft take off and land from/on runway 34!!! :(

But for Runway/Winddirection 16/34 everything is fine.
If I start FG with the launcher and use
XXXX 210550Z 34015KT 9999 NSC 25/07 Q1012 NOSIG - Wind from 340
Aircrafts take-off/Landing on Runway 34

XXXX 210550Z 16015KT 9999 NSC 25/07 Q1012 NOSIG - Wind from 160
Aircrafts take-off/Landing onRunway 16

I tried the default LOWW.groundnet.xml without taxilanes (only parkings).
Planes starting from the middle of the airport but behavier is same as described above. No take off / landing from Runway 29/11 depending on the wind direction. So it's not my groundnet's fault.

What could be the problem?

I read in a forum post that you should turn on realtime weather to start the plane from the right runway.
But this option is not an alternative for testing groundnets.
"Maybe you have to wait days or weeks until the wind comes from the right direction."

I think there is a ICAO.rwyuse.xml file for that. I have no idea how it is used, though.

Good idee for testing. But could not find a documentation ....
But i thought, use of a runway is dependent from the wind direction?

The rwyuse file is used to override that as far as I know. Sorry, not sure where the documentation is.

Here is an example (EHAM):

Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0"?>
