SBA airlines and SVMI groundnet update

Postby legoboyvdlp » Fri Jun 30, 2017 2:52 pm

Hey,
I just created a new traffic file for SBA airlines. I make no warranty, it may or may not work, as I have not been able to test it due to issues on my side. BecOzIcan says the groundnet works ;)
All the credits for the groudnet go to BecOzIcan; I merely removed the link to runway 27 which is never used at SVMI.

I don't have commit access; I wonder if someone could test this and commit it if it is good enough? Many thanks!
Jonathan

Welcome to the magic world of AI Jonathan.

Had a quick look at your traffic file

1. Radii for B767 should be 24; Real Winspan is 48.

Radii sizes I use for groudnets gates, based on standard parking stands available at real airports are
14 - Embraer, ATR, CRJ etc
18 - A320, B737
26 - B757, B767
33 - B777 A330 A340
40 - A380

2. Your got your Miami UTC offset wrong by one hour.

SBA1515 lands at 13:30 UTC.
This is just an example, all your flights have the same issue, maybe related to not using Daylight Saving
In Flight radar you can show all times in UTC by clicking on the setting on RHS of screen, clickin the MISC tab then turning LOCAL TIME off

Send me a corrected file and I will push to GIT.

Cheers
Ian

EDIT Also, no need to provide links to Livery, it's alrady in FGData. Remember, I created it :-)

:)
Great!
I used the radii I found on the wiki for my flights.
And I calculated the times based on SBA's website, assuming it showed the times for arrival in Miami time.

Hi Jonathan,

Sorry I should have noticed on initial check but Santa Barbara's ICAO code is BBR not SBA. Can you update your file (It's ok to keep the aircraft xml as 767-SBA but the Ariline tags as well as the file name itself should be changed to BBR for commit. Also please include Timetable data and author details in header (see other recent traffic files like the Air Serbia one for reference). I am not working tomorrow so if you can do that whilst I sleep (01:35 AM here) I'll commit first thing tomorrow morning. Also mark the thread as resolved once done (I realise I sound very anal right now.

Cheers
Ian

Checked, Tested and pushed to GIT

I have made two minor changes to Aircraft myself (didn't want to go back and forth again) :

- Aircraft Radii to 24 (won't change anything on current broken versions of FG but will help allocate right parking spot once Bug on radii fixed)
- ACTYPE changes to 763 : This tag controls the model behaviour (taxiing speed, rate of ascent etc) based on performance DB file at base of AI/Aircraft tree

Thank you for your collaboration
Cheers
Ian
