Updated AirSerbia

Postby SP-KOK » Wed Jun 28, 2017 9:49 pm

I have a request.
Update AirSerbia, I need a groundnet for LYBE
someone can help and will perform. I have no experience in this.
Unless maybe someone will do a video demonstration that will help others to learn.

No video tutorial but the wikis are pretty straight forward

1. Get Taxidraw (See link in SVMI groundnet post of yesterday)
2. Load the LYBE layout HERE
3. Grab the AIP documents showing LAT LON of parking positions from http://www.smatsa.rs/AIS/Active/eAIP/23 ... mands.html (Also in my ZIP)
4. You can convert the LAT LON in decimal using https://itouchmap.com/latlong.html which will also show you your point location on a map
5. Follow the instructions from
http://taxidraw.sourceforge.net/taxidraw/tutorial.html
http://wiki.flightgear.org/Interactive_traffic section 'creating the network)

Note we do not we do not care about creating a layout , runways r taxiways in taxidraw, this is no longer used. Only the ground network is to be exported

Cheers
Ian

You can also use the Flightplan Generator http://oscar.bouwmans.name/FlightGear/aiscenario/ to create a scenario of the taxi routes and parking positions then copy/paste the relevant part of the results into Taxidraw.

A word of warning about Taxidraw, you may get random crashes, usually when trying to delete a lot of objects or having an object selected when exporting AI Network. This last type of crash will most likely corrupt the groundnet .xml file so it is best to export often and to a new file each time i.e. LYBE-01, LYBE-02, LYBE-03 etc. this way you will not lose to much work if it does crash.
