Airport Gate Wing Radius

Postby jtprophet » Tue Mar 14, 2017 8:56 pm

Hello folks,

I've seen this before but cant locate a source to get the radius of the airport parking gates to use in taxi draw? It listed the type of aircraft and the radius for the gates properties.

Thank-you

John

You can find a list on the ICAO Aerodrome Reference Code on SKYbrary (see the second table).

Currently doesn't matter.I don't know how the current AI determines parking bays but it certainly does not work on aircraft radii. You can get aircraft to park on a given bay by their airline code in the AI Traffic but even that does not always work.

Cheers

Correct, the bug was introduced with v2016.X as far as I know. The Gate type is also no longer working ie Passengers flights park at Cargo gates and vice versa.

maybe this is why i have AI craft sitting on me when i choose a parking spot?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
