Hi AI peeps

Model work almost complete on a new (less angular ...) version of the 744.

As usual, please post you liveries requests here.

Awesome!

Liveries:

Conviasa (please!) Delta, United, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Thai Airways, Orient Thai Airlines, Eva Air, China Airlines, Wamos Air, Saudia, Kabo Air, Max Air, KLM, Royalairmaroc, Eagle Express, Kuwait Airways, Korean, Asiana, Lufthansa, El Al, Iraqui, Lion Air, Air Atlanta Iceland, Air India, Cathay Pacific, Corsair Intl, Air China, Qantas, Son Air...

Pick and choose -- I'd personally like Cathay, Conviasa, Delta, Lufthansa and British Airways, if it is not too much trouble.

Hi all

Thanks for the very nice feedback and the liveries suggestions. That's a very long list though and so I will need to prioritise along the following rules :

1. Is there a traffic file in FGData? so the aircraft actually shows up in Flightgear (even if it needs an adjustment of the existing traffic.xml)
> This eliminates Atlas, Asiana, Cargolux, El Al, Wamos, Orient Thai, Corsair, Iraqi, Max, Kabo, Flynas, Conviasa. NOTE: If you are currently working on one of these traffic files, drop me a line

2. Will the aircraft continue to appear once the traffic files are updated (the airline still has at least one 747-400 and it is active/used in scheduled flights, not stored (I use airfleets.net as reference)
> This eliminates Air France, JAL, Aerolineas and Namibia

3. The largest 747 fleet goes first

This gives us the following ordered list for liveries I will be preparing: British Airways, Korean Air, China Airlines, KLM, United, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, Thai, Qantas, EVA, Delta, Singapore, Virgin Atlantic, Air China, Saudi Arabian, Air India, Malaysia, Garuda, Royal Air Maroc

Please remember there is no point in having an AI aircraft built or a livery designed if you have no traffic file to call it (or no groundnet to park it),we should aim at improving the FG experience for as many users as possible

The zipped ac model, its XMLs and the Paintkit PNGs in high Res (so you can paint your own livery if you want to) are available for download from https://www.mediafire.com/folder/l80u3ofyccn3p/744.
Please note the model is still beta, I have not added the Animated Jetways code and I need to rework the nose/upper deck slightly

Cheers
Ian

That is the best way to do it, the tools are all there so there anyone can create a livery for new traffic files when they are added.

Exactly! we now have more AI traffic then ever but sadly due to the AI system problems and ground network updates we have far less active traffic

The upper deck looks pretty long. Is that really the 747-400 and not the -8?

[edit] never mind, I see it now....

Most likely a fisheye effect of the FGFS zoom.

Also the upper deck relative length does not vary much between 744 and 748.
