Hey P.

I have updated the model texture mapping.

Please test the updated model from the link below and confirm it fixed the issue so I can commit the change

I've got to take a break from FG for a while due to health reasons but for those who prefer Taxidraw created groundnets I'll leave you with a few for Europe based on Easyjet, Flybe and Ryanair destinations.
https://www.mediafire.com/?goyjy7d3wo1p9f2
You'll have to place them in the correct folders yourself and some may be missing a few GA gates.

I still have a couple of AI models I'm working on, Saab 200 and Jetstream 41, but I'll get back to them at a later date.

* Back to thread topic *

Unless anyone has started wok on it I will be putting together an up to date British Airways traffic file (not including codeshares operated with other airlines' metal)

are these new or conversions from the old taxiway format to the newer WED format?

any idea if/when they will be available automatically in the sim and/or from terrasync?
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I am guessing you are referring to Gooneybirds traffic files. They have been merged in late May so should be available now. There is no such thing as a wed traffic file afaik we are still using taxidraw format even if some tools allow you to convert we'd s taxiway yellow centre lines to create the routes wireframe and then add park positions manually in taxidraw

https://github.com/nikopoler/wed2fg doesn't use the yellow lines. You don't have to add any parking positions. I will even add the lines from the parking position to the nearest line node, since they aren't drawn in WED. The problem with TaxiDraw is that it can't read any apt files version 850+. I tried to get it compiled but failed. :-(

They are new or updates done in Taxidraw but compatible with WED layouts, already available from terrasync.

Thanks, seems to work better than the previous version but still needs Taxidraw to connect parking positions and pushbacks etc.

I use the Taxidraw version from here ftp://ftp.uni-duisburg.de/FlightGear/Win32/ and followed these instructions to set it up: http://wiki.flightgear.org/TaxiDraw

Agreed G.

I am using the same taxidraw version (not the most recent 3.2) which can definitely open the apt.dat I found in fg 2016.2.1. which seems to be a version 1000

(see below LIRF)

Only issue (apt 1000 related) is runways don't show up but worse case scenario you can add them (just to place your "on runway" taxidraw points) using the runway length/width, centre lat/lon details found in WED.
