No, they didn't make the branch cutoff date for 2.12. Arguably they could be merged across anyway, but that sort of defeats the point of having a freeze. (Arguably, we only freeze fgdata for core aircraft / Nasal / translations / GUI dialogs / settings - it's almost impossible a traffic change would introduce a bug elsewhere - but equally arguably, if you work in software for long enough, you realise everything can cause a bug :)

In better news, I've just done a test import of the traffic to a (temporary!) SVN server, and been able to download it via TerraSync:

http://fgfs.goneabitbursar.com/ai-trac/browser/trunk/AI/Traffic

Needless to say this code isn't even committed yet, the download is a bit erratic due to differences between DreamHost's Subversion servers and the Google-Code ones we use for TerraSync. But we should definitely have dynamically-updateable traffic (and hopefully AI models) for 3.0, which will make this problem go away. (And make the download smaller)

The real import will hopefully have version history, though I guess most people aren't too concerned about that.

The third and final batch of AI fixes is nearly finished, hopefully these fixes will mean the end of endless missing AI file warnings.

If you haven't downloaded them already here's the first two batches again.

First batch http://www.mediafire.com/download/xzfzahnagmrbb78/AI_fixes-updates.zip

Second batch http://www.mediafire.com/download/b60jbkabkn293j5/AI_fixes-updates-2.zip

This is important: If you are running an FG version prior to 3.6RC and don't have the new AI 737-800 installed these updates will need to be installed before the above two http://www.mediafire.com/download/uashaz1kpbdbunb/AI-738-and-Traffic.zip

I'll post the link to the third batch here and on the dev. list when it's finished.

Here's the third and final batch of AI fixes and updates, before installing please see the above post and install those files first if you have not already done so.

Hopefully there should be very few missing AI file errors now.

@gooneybird, are these being submitted to fgdata?

Thanks for your effort here, this was long over do.

@wlbragg : can you commit to fgdata?

I did ask Thorsten do commit them, he wrote

I made traffic files for Peach Airline:

but I need a converter tool to convert from local to UTC time.

I hope so otherwise BecOzIcan and myself have done a lot of work for nothing. They have been posted on the dev. list.

Great!
Good luck with the converter, I don't know of one. Can you also change<radius>39</radius> to <radius>17</radius> please.
We are using the "Correct radii for future use" list for aircraft now, bottom of the linked page.

Don't think so.

I'm sure he'll get to it eventually. If not I'll help you prod him

Hey , I have a question about AI TRAFFIC , so I fly in FG for a long time and I noticed that very nicely developing motion AI aircraft are beautiful . I have a question about lotnicznego movement in Poland. I am really missing here airborne aircraft DHC8 - Q400 in painting EUROLOT . I question whether it will be improved. I asked for the answer :) below a picture of this model :)

and Boeing 737-400

Hi there,

For this Dash8 AI to show up on your airport you need

- The Dash8 AI model (Already exist, should be in your DATA/AI/Aircrafts directory)
- The Dash8 AI LOT Livery which is not yet done. You could design it using Gooneybird's paintkit; see my signature link under AI models for svg file
- The LOT Traffic File to reference this aircraft. The LOT Traffic I submitted back in Nov2013 didn't have the Dash8. I am happy to update/regenerate the LOT traffic file once the new Aircraft/Liveries are available
- a functioning Ground Network for the Airport

Same for the 737-400 actually

Hope this helps
Cheers

Since I'm just building the ground nets for Scotland (EGPx) I'm getting the Jersey birds (BEE.xml). But I don't have models for them. Are there any around?

Not sure I understand the question. Looking at FGData,

1. We have a bee.xml traffic file with flights to and from EGPE EGPFand EGPD
2.All flights run daily so you should see the aricrafts parked on your groundnet any day you are starting FGFS, no extra configuration required on top of your groundnet
3. Flights are operated with Dash4 and ERJ195 aircrafts, models are properly configured in FGDta//AI/Aircrafts as well

Cheers

To add to what Ian said you need a full ground network for the models to show, AI aircraft will not operate if the ground network consists of parking positions only.
